Romulus and Remus are the traditional founders of Rome, appearing in Roman mythology as the twinsons of the Vestal Virgin Rhea Silvia, fathered by the god of war, Mars.
According to the tradition recorded as history by Plutarch and Livy, Romulus served as the first King of Rome. Romulus slew Remus with a shovel over a dispute about which one of the two brothers had the support of the local deities to rule the new city and give it his name. The name they gave the city was Rome. After their parent were killed the two were placed in a cradle on the banks of the Tiber river. The river, which was in flood, rose and gently carried the cradle and the twins downstream. They were found and feed by the female wolf, Lupa Capitolina.
Frank and Ronald de Boer (born May 15, 1970 in Hoorn, Netherlands): former Dutch professional football players. The brothers played the greater part of their career for the same football clubs, as well as for the Dutch National Team.
Frank has won several prices like the UEFA Cup, Champions League, Wereldbeker and the European Super Cup. In 2006 he quit as an active player and began coaching. Ronald de boer had his biggest successes with AFC Ajax, among other 5 national championships and the Champions League. In those days he was chosen twice the footballer of the year. After his period with Ajax he played for various clubs abroad. In 2008 he retired as an active player. Currently he lives and works as a TV analyst in Qatar.
René en Willy van de Kerkhof (born September 16, 1951 in Helmond, Netherlands): former Dutch professional football players. Together they had their first prof appearance with FC Twente and many years they played for PSV Eindhoven. Rene van de Kerkhof was a quick player with an enormous forward drive. Willy was the speedy midfielder who made countless miles. He was the 'super ball conqueror' and therefor got the nickname 'the vacuum cleaner', because of his important defending work at which he run after every single ball.

Princess Margarita and Jaime de Bourbon de Parme (born October 13, 1972 in Nijmegen, Netherlands). Princess Margarita Maria Beatriz of Bourbon-Parma, Countess of Colorno is the eldest daughter of Princess Irene of the Netherlands and Carlos Hugo, Duke of Parma. Margarita is interior decorator. Her twin brother Jaime, Count of Bardi, Duke of San Jaime was born 1 minute after her. He is a Dutch diplomat.
Johan† and Jan Stekelenburg (born October 31, 1941 in Maarssen, Netherlands). Johan Stekelenburg was a Dutch trade union leader and politician. In this capacity he was chairman of the FNV and major of Tilburg. In 2003 he passed away due to cancer. Jan is a Dutch TV presenter. He was know by the public because of his appearance at Studio Sport in the eighties. Currently he is anchor man at Studio Sport.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (born June 13, 1986): American actresses, producers, fashion models and fashion designers. Though they really look alike, they are fraternal twins who very often act as twin sisters. They got famous when Mary-Kate and Ashley were hired for the role of Michelle Tanner on the television series Full House. After that they had roles in various movies, mostly as twins. One of their best known movies, in which they didn't act as twins, is It Takes Two (1995), in which they meet as two totally strangers. One is an orphan child and the other is the daughter of rich folks.

Known primarily as the fraternal twinsister, Patricia has primarily made headlines for her superb management of her highly successful sister.
Maurice† and Robin Gibb (born 22 December 1949). They are best known as members of the singing/songwriting trio the Bee Gees, cofounded with their elder brother Barry. Born in the Isle of Man, to English parents, the trio started their musical career in Australia, and found major success when they returned to England. With record sales estimated in excess of 100 million, the Bee Gees became one of the most successful pop groups of all time. Her twin brother Wade is also musician and yoga teacher.
